Fitness Trends For 2022
Whether you’re active, sedentary, or somewhere in between, there’s no doubt that exercise is good for you. The problem many people have is finding the motivation to be consistent with a gym membership and regular workouts. Thankfully, even though we might not know exactly what the world will look like in 2022, there are some trends that we can use as a guide when working out today.
1. Virtual Workouts
As technology advances, training programs become more widely available than ever. If you don’t have the time (or inclination) to attend classes or travel to a gym, virtual reality workouts are for you. Instead of shouting at a real-life trainer, you can get in the driver’s seat and make changes to your own exercise routine.
2. Bluetooth Wearables
Wearable technology is another way you can track your workouts from the comfort of your home. At this point, there are gadgets for almost everything. A company called TexFit has created a smart belt that tracks calories and exercise via Bluetooth from your smartphone. Fitness trackers are also growing in popularity, providing you with an easy way to keep an accurate count of calories burned throughout the day.
3. Bespoke Training
Want to get ahead? Bespoke training is for you. This type of coaching takes the guesswork out of exercise, which will allow you to reach your goals faster than ever before. Bespoke training has become more widespread in recent years with some gyms even offering it as a service to their clients. This allows them to adjust an exercise program entirely to suit an individual’s needs. As long as you like what’s being taught, it may be a good fit for you.
4. Liquid Calories
Liquid calories are growing in popularity, especially among those who are health conscious. Juicing has become an increasingly popular way to incorporate more nutrients into your diet, and some people take it a step further with so-called “super juices” that promise to help with specific health concerns. Although the jury is still out on the benefits of these drinks, they do go down easy, which can be hard to replicate with traditional foods.
